Smart was just the beginning. Meet Deako Intelligence™.

Meet Adaptive Lighting powered by Deako Intelligence™

Experience lighting that knows you. It illuminates your path, adjusts colors for well-being, and turns off when you leave automatically – without reaching for a switch or an app.

How it works

Adaptive Lighting requires:

Deako Intelligent™ Switches or Dimmers

Deako Intelligent Hub

Circadian smart bulbs (optional)

1. It’s more than just motion-sensing

2. Gets smarter by the day

Deako Intelligence learns your patterns to build a predictive model of your home’s rhythms. This ensures your lights are on and adjusted before you enter the room.

What the model learns:

  • Wake patterns — What time you leave the bedroom and which room you head to first. Lights are on before you arrive, at the right brightness.
  • Room occupancy — Lights pre-dim as your typical duration in a room ends, then shut off after you leave.
  • Circadian timing — Lights automatically warm and dim as your household’s rhythm shifts from active to quiet, using your actual schedule.
  • Weekend vs. weekdays — It automatically adjusts for Saturday mornings, without needing a set schedule.

3. It promotes your well-being

What a day with Adaptive Lighting looks like:

[ MORNING RUSH ]

The kids leave for school and you’re off to work. The radar confirms that the house is empty and turns all the lights off — no reminders, no wasted energy.

[ FOCUS TIME ]

You’ve been at your desk for a while and the lights stay on—set to a natural tone that helps you focus. After a few weeks, it learns your preference and the lights are already lit the way you like before you sit down.

[ NIGHTTIME ROUTINE ]

It’s late. The lights shift to a warm, amber color as you wind down. As you head to bed, the hallway lights your path—and once you’re in, the whole home goes dark.

Adaptive Lighting requires three things: Deako Connectors™ installed in your walls (one per switch location), Deako Intelligent Switches that plug into those Connectors, and a Deako Intelligent Hub. If you already have Deako Connectors, you just need the switches and hub.

For circadian lighting capabilities within Adaptive Lighting, you’ll also need Matter over Wi-Fi, Zigbee, or Thread-compatible color tunable bulbs.

If you have Deako Connectors already installed in your walls, setup is plug-and- play. The Smart Sensor Switches plug in directly into the Connector. No electrician, no professional installation, no tools required. Most people have their first room up and running in minutes.

If you don’t yet have Deako Connectors installed, you will need to replace your existing switch boxes, which will generally require a licensed electrician. Once Connectors are installed, every upgrade is plug-and-play going forward.

Circadian lighting is a lighting technology designed to align with the human body’s internal 24-hour clock, known as the circadian rhythm. It mimics the natural progression of sunlight throughout the day to support physical, mental, and behavioral changes.

The system automatically adjusts two primary factors: 1) color temperature and 2) intensity.

Benefits of circadian lighting include improved sleep quality, increased productivity, and enhanced mood and energy.

No. Adaptive Lighting requires the use of the yet-to-be-released Deako Intelligent Switches since they contain the mmWave radar modules.

The more rooms covered, the better the whole-home experience — and the more accurate the predictive model. A single room works and delivers value immediately. The path-prediction and habit-learning features improve significantly with multi-room coverage.

A standard passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor detects movement — when something crosses its field of view. mmWave radar is continuous and volumetric. It doesn’t wait for movement; it actively measures the space in front of it and detects presence, position, and movement. This means it knows you’re in the room even when you’re completely still.

You’ll notice meaningful improvements within the first few hours. The system needs enough data to distinguish your patterns from random variation — weekday versus weekend, your schedule versus your family’s. By the end of the first week, the predictive model is substantially personalized. It continues to improve over time as your routines evolve.

Always. Any light can be controlled manually at any time — via the switch, voice, or Deako app. Manual overrides are noted by the system and can inform future predictions if they happen consistently (for example, if you always manually dim the kitchen on Friday evenings, the system will start doing that on its own).

Entirely on your Deako Hub — a local device inside your home. The machine learning model is trained on your data, on your hardware, in your home. It never syncs to a cloud server, never connects to Deako’s infrastructure for processing, and never contributes your household’s data to any shared model.

The radar produces sensor readings: location coordinates within the room and movement velocity. It does not produce images or video. There is no footage of any kind from the radar.
