How is a Deako light switch different from a “normal” light switch?

The Deako Lighting system is plug-and-play, which means that after closing, homeowners can easily swap the kind of light switch they have without dealing with wires or hiring an electrician. When the system is installed, the Deako Backplate is wired into a standard junction box and (typically) fitted with a Simple Rocker light switch. Then the Deako Faceplate is snapped in place.

Will new Deako switches always work with the base system?

Yes! All future products made by Deako Lighting will be compatible with Deako backplates (that box that you plug the switch into).

What kind of switches can I buy?

Deako makes a variety of simple and smart light switches, which can be found here on our product page.

How long does it take for my Deako Partner Portal account to be approved?

Our process for reviewing the application and approving new user accounts is about 2 business days. It may take longer during the holidays.

What are the payment options?

You can purchase using a credit card or apply for credit terms with us.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

No. You can purchase as little or as much as you need. Please note that discounts only apply to case quantities and above.

Is shipping free?

Enjoy free shipping when your order total exceeds your account’s qualifying threshold. For orders below this threshold, shipping costs will be calculated based on package weight and displayed at checkout.

What if I need to return the products?

To start the return process, you will need to email us at partnerreturns@deako.com within 30 days of receiving your products. The products must be in new condition and in original packaging. Additional instructions will be provided once you contact us.

How long does it take to get approved for credit terms?

Terms are usually reviewed and approved within 1 week from receipt by Deako’s Finance team.

What information will I be required to submit for a credit application?
